By David Smith, Jr., OKTidbits PR (Oberlin, MO) -- It’s off to Nebraska this weekend for the United Rebel Sprint Series as they cross into the “Cornhusker State” and continue their quest for the 2018 series championship.
It all kicks off this Saturday night, July 7, for the third annual “Ron Williams/Dick (Snoose) Myers Memorial at Lincoln County Raceway in North Platte, Nebraska. This event will pay $1500 to win and $200 to start and always produced a great turnout of cars that have participated in this event and this year will be no different. Last year it was Darren Berry taking the victory while Zach Blurton won this event back in 2016. Lincoln County Raceway is located one mile west on US Hwy 30 at Lincoln County Fairgrounds. (308) 362-4551 Admission is $10 for adults; Kids ages 6-12 just $5; 5 and under free; while all pit passes are just $25. Race time is set for 7:00 PM.
The series will then head to Dawson County Speedway in Lexington on Sunday, July 8, for a $700 to win, $150 to start event. Ty Williams won here last season. Dawson County Speedway in Lexington Located at the Dawson County Fairgrounds along U.S. Hwy. 283 - 2 miles north of the Lexington/I-80 interchange at exit 237. Race time is 6:00 PM.

With six races in the books thus far this season, Blurton has the early-season points lead by 100-points over Oklahoma driver Ty Williams. So far there have been six different feature winners on the tour with J.D. Johnson, Blurton, Jake Martens, Steven Richardson, Jason Martin and Tyler Velasquez.
