The Dawson County Raceway is preparing for an exciting 2021 racing season with more attractions than ever! Raceway promoter, Chad Dolan, who is entering his 3rd year of promoting the raceway has big plans for all. You will see some new events that have never been held at the raceway and some that haven't been held here in quite sometime, said Dolan.
The Wes Esslinger Memorial Race on May 30, will feature Super Late Models that haven't been to the raceway in 9 years. This will be a special night to honor the late super late model crew chief, Wes Esslinger. Wes Esslinger who passed away this winter was the crew chief of the #31 car driven by the late Larry Conyers and other notables such as Kent Tucker and Robby Leonard. We expect near 40 Super Late Models for this event.
We also have events with the GOTRA (Good Ol' Time Racing Association), MCSA (Midwest Classic Stock car Association), Mod-Lites, and the Series Finale for the BST Tri-State Tour. You will see sponsor displays continued behind the grandstand and we will continue the success of the famed "Dawson County Raceway Prize Wheel!"
Concession Items will be ready for your enjoyment weekly with some new items and weekly specials for you to take advantage of. We will continue the FREE ALL BEEF HOTDOGS donated by the Dawson County Cattleman and the FREE COKE PRODUCT for the first 100 through the admission gate weekly!
